Before the Tucumcari City Commission convened Thursday night, commissioners presented past Mayor Mary Mayfield with a plaque and proclaimation for her service to the city.
Mayfield, the city’s first woman mayor, resigned last year for health reasons.
At last night’s meeting, commissioners re-elected Antonio Apodaca mayor and Jim Witcher mayor pro tem.
