TeamBuilders Counseling Services, a non-profit agency that provides behavioral health services to children and their families, will hold a series of fundraising events in April and May to help raise funds for summer programs planned for the children in their care, according to a press release.
Although these activities will be great fun for the kids, they have a larger purpose, the release said.  They are structured to help the kids build social and teamwork skills, to expose them to physical activities and challenges they've never experienced, and to give them an opportunity for fun and excercise that otherwise wouldn't be available to them.

The three events are:
• Garage Sale
 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 18-19 at  TeamBuilders Offices, 1110 East High St.  A wide selection of toys, clothes, furniture, and other treasures, along with fresh-baked goods.

•  First Annual TeamBuilders Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament
 Saturday, April 26 at the     Tucumcari Recreation Center, 900 East Laughlin Ave.  Call for start times. Cost is $70 per team of six.  Registration deadline is April 19.
Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place teams. Each team of six players must include at least three girls.

• TeamBuilders Counseling Services Teen Dance
7 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. May 2 at Del Norte Center. $5 per person. This  drug and alcohol-free event is for teens 12 to 18 years of age.  Chaperones will be on site at all times.
