Ready to wed...
Del and Beverly Choate of Tucumcari are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Choate of Canyon, Texas, to Miles Zachary, also of Canyon.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of San Jon High School and plans to complete her master's degree in accounting from West Texas A&M University in 2009. She is employed at Kathy W. Boozer, CPA, PC, in Canyon.
Zachary, who is a graduate of West Texas A&M University, is the son of Michael and Tracy Zachary of Flower Mound, Texas. Zachary is employed at the Bushland Research Feedyard in Bushland, Texas.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. June 21 at the J.A. Hill Chapel on the West Texas A&M campus, with a reception to follow at the Whitaker Ranch.
The couple will reside in Canyon.
Six in a row...
Larissa Sandoval, who turned 6 on Monday, will celebrate her birthday today at home with family and friends. Larissa's mother is Karla Sandoval and her sister is Camille Sandoval. Her grandmother is Martha Sandoval and her grandfather is the late Camilo Sandoval, all of Tucumcari.
High five for Lexee...
Lexee Jiminez turned 5 on April 27. She celebrated with her mom, Sandi Carmichael, and her dad, Joseph Hurley, and her sister, Peyton Elizabeth, and friends. She had a Strawberry Shortcake party at the bowling alley on April 26.
Scholarship awarded...
Olivia Mitchell of Tucumcari was awarded an Oklahoma State University Department of Animal Science Scholarship. Mitchell, the daughter of Albert and Jeannette Mitchell of Tucumcari, was awarded the Southwest Meat Association Scholarship at the Animal Science Departmental Awards Banquet on April 5 in Stillwater, Okla. Olivia Mitchell's university activities include: Block and Bridle.
