The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:
l At 11:48 a.m., a female reported there was a snake in her yard on West High Street.
l 3:37 p.m., a female reported a hit and run at a business on South Third Street.
l At 3:48 p.m., a male came into the Tucumcari Police Station to report threatening cell phone messages.
l At 4:06 a.m., an unknown caller wanted to speak to an officer about a relative who was harassing him.
l At 6:18 p.m., a Tucumcari Police Officer reported that three small children locked in a car at a business on West Tucumcari Boulevard.
l At 9:20 p.m., the Roy Fire Department reported a grass fire on State Highway 209 going towards Yates.
l At 11:32 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a possible prowler in an alley on South Fifth Street.
l At 12:17 a.m., a male reported a domestic dispute in progress on South Monroe Street.
l At 11:04 a.m., an anonymous caller reported an accident at the intersection of South Fourth Street and Tucumcari Boulevard.
l At 3:26 p.m., a male called to report harassment by a relative.
l At 3:35 p.m., a male subject came in to the Tucumcari Police Department to speak to an officer about getting his things from a residence.
Crime Stoppers Notice:
The Quay County Sheriff’s Office and the Tucumcari Crime Stoppers are asking for your help in solving a recent auto theft.
About 9:30 p.m. on May 23, a 1949 Dodge grain truck was taken from the 3200 block of Quay Road AG, said Sgt. Mark Dahlsten of the Quay County Sheriff’s Office.
The truck is dark green and was not registered with the Motor Vehicle Department at the time of the theft.
