The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Tuesday
l At 8:50 a.m., a male reported that someone had broken into his truck and removed his GPS after he moved his truck from a fuel island on south Mountain Road.
l At 9:24 a.m., a physician called to request that Animal Control pick up a pit bull that had bitten a patient. Animal Control advised that the owner of the dog would bring the dog into the kennel to be quarantined.
l At 10:11 a.m., a veterinarian requested the Quay County Sheriff’s Department send a deputy to Quay Road 64.9 to pick up a skunk, or possibly two skunks, that had been killed by a dog. The State Epidemiology Department was requesting the head be sent to them for testing.
l At 10:56 a.m., an anonymous caller reported that people were burning tires in front of her house on east Smith Street and had broken her windshield with a rock.
l At 4:25 p.m.,  Tucumcari Police officer advised that there was a juvenile at the elementary school with a BB gun.
l At 10:23 p.m., a female came to the police station and reported that her family had been getting harassing phone calls.
l At 12:27 p.m., the Quay County Sheriff’s Office advised that a truck  was stuck on the railroad tracks near Highway 54 and Hudson. A farmer pulled the truck off the tracks and the tracks were clear for train traffic.

Wednesday
l At 7:47 a.m., a male   on Cherokee Place in Logan requested an officer about some kind of animal in his furnace. The officer removed the animal from the furnace. It was a bird.
l At 11:20 a.m., a male on south Tenth Street requested an officer in reference to a theft that happened at his residence.
l At 2:05 p.m., a female came to the TPD to report a stolen cell phone.
l At 4:48 p.m., a female reported an accident with no injuries outside of Logan on Highway 469 by the water tower.
l At 7:49 p.m., a male reported an unwanted subject on west Laughlin Avenue.
Thursday
l At 5:58 p.m., a female on east Center Street requested an officer about a male subject who went to her residence and was harassing her and throwing rocks at her and her dog.
l At 7:45 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a possible fight on east Main Street.  Police advised the suspects had left prior to their arrival.
l At 8:59 p.m., an anonymous caller at a business on west Route 66 Boulevard reported that a female subject with a child had shoplifted alcohol, possibly a bottle of rum. 
l At 9:52 p.m., a male reported domestic violence on south Tenth Street.
l At 10:17 p.m., a female reported that beer had been shoplifted from a business on east Route 66 Boulevard. The subject was wearing a black hoodie with a purple bandana and was going west.
