This fishing report has been generated from the best information available from officers and anglers. Conditions encountered after the report is compiled may differ, however, as stream, lake and weather conditions alter fish and angler activities.

Conchas Lake
 Fishing was fair using liver, night crawlers and dough bait for catfish. A few black bass were taken by anglers using deep running crank baits and power worms. Fishing was slow-to-fair using minnows, spoons and jigs for white bass. Walleye fishing was slow but a few were taken on deep running crank baits and minnows.

Ute Lake
Fishing was fair using live minnows for walleye. Fishing was fair-to-good using minnows, liver and cut bait for catfish. We had no reports on other species.

Catches of the week:
Conchas Lake: On Oc. 1, Mike Benge of Amarillo caught a 5-pound largemouth bass. He was using a Bill Norman Deep Li'l N. He also caught a 23-inch wall-eye while using a Rapala Flat DT. Both fish were caught in the Big Island area.
