Lt. Gov. Denish, U.S. Rep. Lujan to be in Tucucmari Thursday
Lt. Governor Diane Denish will be holding a Rural Recovery Forum in Tucumcari at 9 a.m. on Thursday at the Tucumcari Senior Center
The forum is part of Denish’s Rural Recovery Tour.
Joining Denish will be U.S. Rep. Ben Ray Luján, D-N.M., who visiting Tucumcari as part of his two-week “Congress in Your Community Tour.”
The Rural Economic Recovery Initiative will identify local and tribal governments, universities, and non-profit organizations interested in applying for grants on behalf of their communities and provide them information about grant opportunities, guidelines, and processes.
Lujan will be having a breakfast at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Pow Wow Restaurant, 801 W. Route 66 Blvd.
Sunrise services set for Easter at three crosses
The Fellowship of Christian Pastors will be celbrating a sunrise Easter services at the three crosses on the east side of town just off Route 66 on Sunday morning.
Sunrise will be at 6:27 a.m. and services will begin at 6:30 with prayer, music and a short devotional by Tom Broom, pastor of Center Street United Methodist Church.
The service is open to all.
