The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Friday
l At 10:24 a.m., a male reported his metallic blue custom bike had been stolen from his residence on north College Street sometime in the last four days.
l At 12:14 p.m., a male on south Ninth Street reported that some kids on a blue go cart had thrown rocks and beer bottles at his vehicle and had broken the windshield. An officer advised he had not been able to contact the subjects, but he had spoken with family members and advised them to have the kids come  speak with him or contact him by phone.
l At 3:07 p.m., a male requested an officer to his residence on south Ninth Street in reference to vandalism.  An officer advised that  the parents have taken responsibility and are going to make restitution to the owners of the vehicles damaged.
l At 8:16 p.m., a female called requesting officers to her residence on west Sunset Avenue in reference to some kids looking in her daughter’s window.
l At 11: 21 p.m., a female reported that her daughter had called her and told her that she had rolled her car at the first curve on State Highway 209 towards Clovis. A second caller reported that the accident was on State Highway 275 about mile marker 6.

Saturday
l At 1:09 p.m., a male reported that the windows of his business on south Sixth Street had been broken during the night.
l At 4:48 p.m., a female reported a car sitting at a stop sign on south Tenth Street with the stereo turned up so loud that it was making items vibrate off the mantel above her fireplace.
l At 7:07 p.m., a female called the Ute Lake State Park to report that her boat was sinking. The caller said they were able to make it up on land but needed help with the boat. A park official advised that the boat was on the trailer and they would complete the investigation the next day. At 7:39 p.m., a Ute Lake State Park official requested medics to the Marina at Ute Lake to check out subjects involved in the boat sinking.

Sunday
l At 5:41 p.m., a female requested an officer check out two juveniles walking down the alley behind her house on south Seventh Street. The caller reported that one of the juveniles had a small rifle and the other had small handguns, and they were firing them behind her house. The caller said the guns did not sound like real guns, but she requested that they be checked out by an officer.  An officer advised contact was made with the juveniles and they did have BB guns and were going to head home.
l At 6:41 p.m., a male reported six juveniles on bicycles trying to break into a building on east Aber Street.
l At 6:58 p.m., an anonymous caller on north Third Street reported that a dog had been abused. The caller said that a male subject’s dog had gotten out and the male subject chained the dog to his car and dragged the dog home behind the car. The caller reported that during the time the dog was being dragged, its hind leg had been run over and was broken.

Monday
l At 1:00 a.m., an anonymous caller reported a shoplifting incident at a business on east Route 66 Boulevard. The caller said a subject in a light green hoodie had taken two bottles of liquor without paying and was last seen running north on Rock Island Street.
l At 12:56 p.m., an employee of a business on west Route 66 Boulevard reported that a male subject had tried to buy alcohol but was refused the sale because he was already too intoxicated. The caller said he was driving a red vehicle and was sitting in it in the parking lot at that moment.
l At 1:26 p.m., a male came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report identity theft.
l At 3:23 p.m., a male requested an officer to south Thirteenth Street in reference to a juvenile throwing a rock that hit a vehicle and the owner wanted to make a report. An officer spoke with the owner who said the rock had scratched the driver’s side of the vehicle. The juvenile subject was identified and agreed to pay for the damages to the vehicle. No criminal charges were filed.
l At 11:54 a.m., a male reported to the Quay County Sheriff’s office that guns had been stolen from his residence on State Highway 209.
