Guidelines and procedures pertaining to permitting and inspection requirements for TWTS, or Tower-Mounted Small Wind Terbuines Systems, have been approved by the Commission for New Mexico's Regulation and Licensing Department's of Construction Industries Division, according a CID press release.
The guidelines and procedures also clarify the type of electrical contractor's license and journeyman certification classifications required to install these systems, the release said.
CID has defined TWTS as wind energy conversion systems consisting of a wind turbine, wind tower and associated control or conversion electrical equipment with a rated capacity of 25KW or less, whic is intended to reduce the consumption of uitilty-generated power where the system is installed,
