The Tucumcari Police Department is still searching for a 31-year-old Tucumcari man suspected of leading police on a car chase Friday night.

Police responded to a domestic violence call at 9:30 p.m. at a residence on South Fifth Street in Tucumcari. A suspect led police on a car chase across the city before wrecking the vehicle and fleeing on foot.

The victim of the domestic assault was in the vehicle at the time of the pursuit, and was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries, said Assistant City Manager Mike Cherry. He would not release details about the victim.
