What’s your idea of a perfect day? My perfect day is being in the mountains with my wife.
Tell us about your pet: My wife has a female mini schnauzer named Schatzi.
What would you like printed on your gravestone? This earthly life is gone, but my soul is forever living on.
Who’s invited to your fantasy dinner party? Jesus and his disciples.
What do you think about Quay County? With the infrastructure and resources here, there is a lot of potential for Tucumcari and the county.

What’s so great about your favorite sport? The speed. (His favorite sport is racing.)
Tell us about a happy time: The birth of my children and grandchildren.
What do you envision your life being like in 10 years? Living in a cabin that I have designed and owning my own business.
When you were a kid, what did you think you’d be doing as an adult? Private investigator.
If money were no object, what would you do to make the world a better place? End homelessness by building housing for living and factories for employment.
Who is your hero and why? My dad, because he dealt with some of the same hardships that I have in life and he came out on top.
Tell us about your greatest individual accomplishment: My greatest accomplishment is serving my country as a sergeant in the United States Air Force and receiving an honorable discharge.
If I could do anything, I would ... be in business for myself.
What is your greatest fear? Losing one of my children.

Tell us about a time you were afraid: Hearing that my son, Johnny, was injured in Iraq.
What’s your favorite part about your job? Supplying the wind energy industry with educated people who will make a difference.
Addie Lee Laferty
Addie Lee Laferty celebrated her second birthday on Thursday.
She had a party at the family ranch on Saturday.
She is the daughter of Kalon and Julie Lafferty of Tucumcari. Her grandparents are Danny and Roxie Wallace of Grady and Jim and Debbie Lafferty of Tucumcari.
