Tucumcari – Agents with the US Marshall task force received a tip that a wanted armed and dangerous federal fugitive was in the New Mexico area and had links to the Mexican Drug Cartel.

The New Mexico US Marshals office received a tip that Federal absconder 41 y.o. Camilo Sport of Atlanta Georgia, was in New Mexico. The Marshals task force quickly scrambled resources to locate the suspect; the felon fugitive was located in the Tucumcari area with 21 y.o. Asunsio Martinez, of Atlanta, Georgia. To prevent the two from getting away officers out of the Tucumcari State Police office moved in and apprehended the two without incident.

The two suspects were turned over to federal custody and will be extradited back to Georgia to face federal drug trafficking charges. Tip also leads to the arrest of many others in the Georgia area.
