Investigators are trying to determine if the shooting of a 32-year-old Nara Visa man was self-defense or homicide.
Ty Fields was shot Saturday night during what police have said was a fight between two men “over property that had not been returned.”
“This could be a homicide or self defense and we’re not ruling anything out... We’re not sure which one we’re (looking at). Both are still on the table at this point,” said state police Sgt. Tim Johnson.
Johnson said investigators believe everyone involved in the incident is accounted for and interviews are still being conducted.
State police responded to a report of a fight between two men on Second Street around 8 p.m. Upon arrival, officers learned one of the men died from a gunshot wound, police have said.
