The week of Sept. 17-23 found several busy ladies from the Daughters of the American Revolution celebrating Constitution Week in Tucumcari.

On Sept. 16, they were at Mesalands Community College giving a class to students titled, “Fun Facts of the Constitution”. There were many students and faculty attending this class.

On Sept. 22, they were at the elementary school participating in a skit. Gi Gi Parker played “Miss No Nonsense Teacher,” Susan Taylor played “Patriotic Susan,” Corrine Hayes played “Corrine Know It All,” and Glenda Reid played “Glenda Smarty Pants.” There was a lot of fun and laughter but also learning during the skit.

The elementary students were also busy in art class making Constitution Week posters. The winning posters were displayed at the post office in Tucumcari.
