The Quay County 4-H program is hosting a coyote calling contest fundraiser to provide supplies and equipment for the rapidly growing shooting sports program.
The series consists of four one-day hunts. The first day will be Saturday. There will be a prize for the person with the most points each day. The person who has the most points for the series will win a Howa 22-250 rifle.
Other hunt dates are Dec.10, Jan. 21and Feb. 18. Entry fee is $25 per person per day. Registration deadline is 5 p.m. the day before each hunt date.
Registration forms with complete rules may be picked up at the extension office located at 216 E Center in Tucumcari or printed from the Quay County Extension Office Website at http://quayextension.nmsu.edu.
Check in will be at the Quay County Fairgrounds before 6:30 p.m.
