Ciemny-Ward

Mr. and Mrs. Tommy J. Miller of Logan, cordially invite friends and family to attend the approaching celebration of true friendship, love and marriage between Mariah Jai Ciemny, daughter of Maretta J. Miller and Rick L. Ciemny, of Wellington Kan., to Justin Dwayne Ward, son of Suzy R. Carpenter Young of Brownwood, Texas, and Marshall E. Ward of Merkel, Texas.

The bride-elect is a senior majoring in accounting at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales. She is a member of Delta Mu Delta, National Honor Society in Business Administration and is employed as an assistant to the Director of Economic Development for the Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce.

The groom-elect is a senior majoring in criminal justice and is a former Academic All American. He is a starting offensive lineman for the ENMU Greyhounds.

The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m., Dec. 17 at the Trinity Assembly of God Church, 601 South Avenue B, in Portales. A come and go reception will immediately follow the ceremony in the Fellowship Hall.

Kimbrell

Proud parents Steve and Michelle Kimbrell announce that Pvt. Steven Kade Kimbrell, 18, of Tucumcari graduated from Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on Nov. 18.

Private Kimbrell successfully completed 13 weeks of intense boot camp at MCRD San Diego as one of 79 recruits in Training Platoon 2149, Golf Company. While in boot camp Private Kimbrell was awarded fireteam leader and expert marksman. Following ten days home on leave he will report to Camp Pendleton for 18 days of Military Combat Training then on to Military Occupation Specialty School.
