4-H Achievement awards

Quay County 4-H recognized members and supporters on Nov. 22 during their annual achievement program at the Quay County Fairgrounds.
The 4-H members were recognized with a completion pin for the years they have been in 4-H and completed their projects. They were also provided the opportunity to have their project record books judged. Special awards are also given to special people and businesses.

Honorary memberships are given to those people whom the council feels have gone above and beyond the call of duty in supporting the 4-H program over the years.
The 2015 recipients are: Justin Knight, Tim Clark, Ralph Lopez, Jim Hayes, and Teresa Hampton

Meritorious Service Awards are given to those businesses and groups, which the council feels have given a lot to the 4-H program over the past few years.
The recipients are Southwest Quay Soil and Water Conservation District and CW and Dee McMullen Foundation.

The Friend of 4-H Award is an award that was created to honor people who have continued to give to the Quay County 4-H program even after their children are out of the program.
This year’s recipients are Mike and T.J. Riddle.

Parent/Leader of the Year Award was presented to Kim Molyneaux from the Yuccas 4-H Club
