Warner said firefighters were told the man owned the residence. He said he didn’t know the man’s identity, but confirmed that no one else was in the residence when it caught fire.

Warner said it took firefighters four hours to extinguish the fire that destroyed the residence. He said units stayed on the scene until the State Fire Marshal’s Office arrived from Santa Fe.
